The Role:
We are looking for a General Manager to lead the team. This is a vital role to support sales growth, control costs, train and inspire our team, and drive the highest standards of customer service and experience. You will need to be able to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the effective operation of the business.
You will need to be an effective communicator and have a strong commercial awareness. The Playhouse operates across a wide range of opening times, and you will need to be prepared to work on a mix of shift patterns.
As a General Manager, your role will include:
Delivering efficient cinema operation with outstanding customer service
Ensuring high standards are maintained within the remit of Quality guidelines and Operations Manager standards audits
Development of a cinema business plan, involving the cinema team, taking into account local, regional, and national targets
Responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to
Leading film programming, organization, and execution of specialized events
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
Sales and F&B experience required
Demonstrated ownership of P&L, driving revenue and controlling costs
Cinema industry experience desirable
A team leader with extensive experience in managing for exceptional customer experience
A can-do attitude with creative flair
