We are leading innovators in applying systems, technologies and AI to achieve great client and environmental outcomes.ResponsibilitiesManage a group of small to medium-sized consulting and software businesses within the organisation.Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability of the businesses.Transition management for former owners of acquired businesses to executive management.Oversee day-to-day performance, including financial management, senior staff management, and key client, agency and supplier relations.Lead and mentor a team of managers and employees to ensure optimal performance and productivity.Collaborate with boards and directors to ensure strategic alignment and delivery.Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation through organic growth and acquisition.Ensure appropriate governance and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.Analyse performance metrics and KPIs to track the success of the businesses and make data-driven decisions.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Qualifications and capabilitiesProven track record of successful leadership, business building and management of consulting and/or software businesses.Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Biological or Environmental Sciences, Horticulture, Ecology or Arboriculture.Demonstrable interest in environmental issues.Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team to achieve organisational objectives.Knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.Proficiency in project management tools and software.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Why Join Us?This is a distinguished opportunity to lead a growing business and play a pivotal role in shaping its future direction.
