General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)
Kultju Aboriginal Corporation is the Registered Native Title Body (RNTBC) for lands recognised under sections 56 and 57 of the Native Title Act.
Kultju is evolving, with a key focus on safeguarding native title rights, preserving cultural heritage, promoting effective land management practices, and nurturing sustainable cultural enterprise. Our primary objective is to collaborate closely with Indigenous communities to conserve cultural heritage, environmental stewardship, and actively shape a sustainable future for generations.

Work collaboratively with Common Law Holders and Board of Directors and Members to maintain Traditional Law and Custom within the Determination Area and to look after land, law and culture for current and future generations.
Contribute to the highest standard of corporate governance and risk management, and program innovation. 
Primary purpose of the role  Strategic planning and policy development, supporting the organisations vision and objectives. 
Manage organisational risk through effective corporate governance, contracting and insurance, providing legal services that include a mix of commercial and corporate advisory expertise, all while expanding and enhancing advocacy for and representation of the interests of Traditional Owners. 
Key accountabilities  Align closely with the Board of Directors on matters related to corporate governance, commercial contracts, and risk management.  Participate in strategic planning and policy development, supporting the organisation's vision and objectives.  Contract negotiation, drafting and advice, and development of maintenance procedures.  Managing, monitoring, and reporting on legal issues impacting the organisation in alignment with the organisation's strategic plans and best practice corporate governance and statutory obligations as a native title representative body.  Traveling to remote locations as needed, representing the organisation's interests and engaging with stakeholders.  Engage and consult with stakeholders on regulatory and operational policy initiatives to promote and gain support for Government policy decisions, approaches and regulatory reform. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and deliver on organisational goals.  Contributing to the organisation's leadership through mentorship and guidance, fostering a collaborative work environment.  Highly experienced in applying and advising on areas related to the Native Title Act 1993. Skills in developing and implementing regulatory / policy improvements. Strong experience in stakeholder management, specifically in consultation with government agencies, Indigenous groups, industry and community bodies.  Knowledge of exploration and mining regulatory frameworks highly desirable.  About you  You are proficient in areas such as native title, Indigenous cultural heritage, or nature conservation commodities would be advantageous. 
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and the ability to establish relationships across all levels. A respectful appreciation of Indigenous cultures with a proven track record of effective teamwork and efficient workload management is essential.
