You will join an industry market leader in student accommodation and shall contribute to achieving our vision, "To build inclusive communities for inspired living".In your new role as General Manager, you will lead a small frontline operations team to achieve excellence and deliver outstanding experiences for our student residents and visitors. Your ability to lead and motivate a team, implement strategic plans, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders will be vital to the success of our operation. Your leadership skills will help to support the growth and ongoing development of your team, and will empower them to champion fostering a safe, secure, and healthy living environment for all students.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESYour responsibilities as General Manager will include but not be limited to:Ensure student wellbeing is prioritised at all timesBe thoroughly familiar with our Operating Agreements and manage the property as per the management agreement and all associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Establish and maintain constructive and productive working relationships with the client, head office, operations team, student residents, and other relevant stakeholders.Manage and optimise the financial return, and the overall financial performance of the property as outlined in the Financial Model/BudgetMaintain the property to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation as would be expected of a professional property management companyPro-actively maintain the building's fit-out and the standard of its equipmentProvide overall leadership, guidance, and direction to develop a team of high performing staffWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORExperience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector – hospitality industry experience is beneficialStrong knowledge of the Residential Tenancy ActDemonstrated experience in leading and managing a teamEffective verbal and written communication skills with staff, owners, residents, and contractorsCurrent First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willing to obtainNational Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own costWorking with children clearance (Ochre Card), at your own costFull work rights in AustraliaWHY JOIN USAcross our workforce we have built an enviable culture of trust, engagement, collaboration, and fun.
