We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead and oversee our shared services operations, ensuring seamless coordination across various support functions including Human Resources, Legal, Facility Management and Events.Position Overview:The General Manager will be responsible for the management and oversight of the company's shared services, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with company objectives. This role will also involve the planning and execution of staff events, contributing to the overall company culture and employee engagement.Key Responsibilities:Provide regular updates to the board on the performance of shared services, operational effectiveness, and strategic initiatives.Manage Shared Services: Oversee and coordinate the functions of Human Resources, Legal counsel, Office Management, IT, and Cyber Security teams to ensure seamless support for the organisation.Human Resources Leadership: Lead the HR team in recruitment, talent management, employee relations, and performance reviews, ensuring HR strategies align with organisational goals.Legal Coordination: Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure compliance with regulations and manage legal matters affecting the business.IT and Cyber Security Oversight: Manage IT services and Cyber Security operations, ensuring robust data protection measures are in place and that IT infrastructure meets the needs of the organisation.Office Management: Supervise Office Managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including budgeting, vendor management, and facility upkeep.Event Planning: Plan and execute staff events, such as corporate retreats, team-building activities, and holiday functions, to promote team cohesion and a positive work environment.Budget Management: Monitor and manage the budgets for shared services, IT, staff events, and the allocation of rental charges, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising quality.Policy Development: Develop and implement policies that enhance operational efficiency, IT security, and promote a positive workplace culture.Leadership and Team Building: Mentor and support team leaders across shared services, IT, and Cyber Security, fostering collaboration and high performance.Qualifications:Proven experience in a senior management role, with responsibility for shared services such as HR, Legal, Office Management, IT, and Cyber Security.Experience reporting to a board or senior leadership.Strong leadership, organisational, and multitasking skills.Demonstrated experience in managing IT services and ensuring cyber security compliance.Experience in planning and managing corporate events.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.Experience managing budgets and ensuring cost control.Knowledge of healthcare services and a passion for supporting Australian veterans is highly desirable.If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for providing high-quality service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity by clicking the APPLY NOW button.
