General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)Full timeAt C&L Tool Centre, we stand out as more than just another tool company in Brisbane; we're a major player in the supply of tooling and industrial products in the Queensland and national markets.Within C&L we have over 50 years of setting the standard for excellent service, and now as a part of Stealth Group Holdings, we also benefit from being part of a leading listed distribution group.C&L services a customer base that includes major corporate customers, business accounts, trades, retail consumers and eCommerce online customers.To capitalise on the opportunities available in our markets, we are offering a unique opportunity for a General Manager to drive growth initiatives which will shape our business's future.In this critical role you will drive operational excellence, grow sales performance and deliver key strategic outcomes with a focus on customer experience and continuous improvement.What You'll Be DoingTake charge of leading, managing, and motivating dedicated sales, operations, retail, and digital teams to drive change initiatives and achieve organisational goals.Continuously analyse market trends, customer feedback and competitor activities to make decisions and enhance our product offerings accordingly.Manage B2B strategy and growth, driving exceptional business development, key account management and customer support.Manage instore and online sales programs and marketing activities.Develop and implement customer-centric initiatives to improve customer loyalty, satisfaction, and retention.Partner with Group functions including Marketing, Finance & Procurement to deliver best practice outcomes.Deliver high-value change initiatives, including revamp of our Banyo store and online programs.Monitor and manage pricing strategies to enhance market competitiveness and positioning.Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while actively seeking new partnerships to expand our product range and improve supplier terms.Foster a positive team culture of customer excellence and high performance.Manage budgets, inventory and financial performance to ensure targets are met.To succeed in this role you have:Previous experience as a General or Regional Manager in a high-volume B2B & B2C environment, ideally within the industrial or tooling markets.Display confident leadership - you can coach, motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence.Create a positive and inspiring environment for our customers and staff.Employ exceptional customer focus and service.Be able to drive business development, sales and team KPIs.A desire to challenge and further develop yourself to achieve company and personal objectives through continual improvement.Strong presentation and brand awareness skillset, with comfort presenting to business and retail customers.The ability to foster strong relationships with team members, peers, customers, leaders, and business stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management.Understand a fast paced organisation.Manage and lead change.We Offer:Competitive Salary and incentives.A great workplace with a positive team environment – we value our people.Team events and celebrations – we celebrate our wins and yours too.Opportunities to grow and develop – a fast-paced environment where you can take the lead.What It's Like Working at C&L:At C&L, we value our people and strive to create a workplace that's enjoyable and rewarding.
