As General Manager , you will oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless performance across all departments while maintaining profitability.
Your hands-on leadership will drive excellence, mentoring and inspiring your team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
The role requires expertise in stakeholder management, especially in working closely with the property owner.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the hotel's transformation as it undergoes a significant refurbishment in early 2025, rebranding under the Handwritten Collection.
Primary Responsibilities Manage all facets for Peppers Gallery Canberra, including revenue management, recruiting & training, customer service and achievement of financial targets.
Be responsible for leading and developing your team to ensure the hotel's profitability and success.
Be instrumental in driving changes and improvements in performance and implementing strategies in line with business objectives.
Create and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, property owner, guests and regional shared services.
Maintain excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and balancing expenses.
Focus on recruiting and developing a team that is engaged in driving a positive customer sentiment.
Serve as a representative of Accor, building and maintaining strong connections within the local community to promote engagement and collaboration.
Skills and Experience Proven experience as a General Manager, ideally within a boutique hotel environment, with a strong ability to lead and manage diverse operations.
Experience in managing refurbishments is highly desirable, as you will play a key role in shaping the property's exciting new chapter.
Display confidence in your ability to cultivate strong relationships, effectively address challenging situations, and implement solutions that enhance service quality.

Experience and capability to drive financial growth through skilful & thoughtful strategy.
Comprehension of the key metrics that impact and grow hospitality businesses, using this knowledge to drive top line revenue and motivating your team to do the same.
