We do this using our unique set of solutions, systems, experience and processes.Key Role DescriptorsWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Australian business. The role will be based in Canberra; and will provide leadership and management to the Australian business in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. Reporting to the International Government Director, the General Manager will lead the development and implementation of the Australian business strategy that can achieve the sales and revenue targets set, and deliver enhanced customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Australian business, maintaining alignment with the wider International business, including setting pricing policies and shaping of significant bids. Be accountable for defining and delivering the business plan for a semi-autonomous business area. Provide leadership to all staff in the Australian International Government business setting a confident and coherent vision and strategy. Line leadership of a local team, supported by functions, through direct leadership of a growing team. Accountable for the budget, performance and the results of the business. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting team work and employee engagement. Achieve agreed KPIs and targets, leveraging support from the wider International Leadership Team. KPIs include order intake (OI), revenue, overhead spend (labour & non-labour), EBIT, utilisation and Customer Satisfaction returns. Ensure the Australian business is developing and maintaining a portfolio of capabilities and offerings that support the company's product, engineering and business growth strategies. Understand the market and target clients and align these with the portfolio of capabilities and offerings. Collaborate with BAE Systems Enterprise to identify opportunities and integrate products and solutions where appropriate into joint offerings to take to market. Take an active role in the sales effort for the Australian business including maintaining account plans and participate in key bid sign on and sign off activities. Support project delivery and assurance activities including managing client escalations. A Director of the local Legal Entity. Skills and knowledge for the role: MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business administration or related field Prior experience within a similar role, preferably in the National Security Sector, Defence and/or Critical National Infrastructure environment Cyber Security, IT, National Security or Law Enforcement experience preferred Demonstrated experience of leading a business for growth Strategic thinker with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure Proven senior leadership experience, able to build, develop, motivate and manage diverse teams Proven ability in building trusted relationships with stakeholders through sound influencing and negotiation skills Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multi task simultaneously Strong commercial background Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Initiative, flexibility, drive and commitment to both development of the team and personal development. Current NV2 Australian security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance, with the potential to gain a PV.
