The current RASAC General Manager retires at the end of September 2024. The RASAC Board is undertaking an Expressions of Interest (EOI) process to secure the employment of a new General Manager in time for a smooth transition into the role.
This process involves the following:- Calling for EOIs; shortlisting of suitable candidates from the EOIs received; arranging and undertaking of any interviews; and making an offer of employment to the successful applicant.
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager provides governance, operational and strategic leadership of the organisation through the effective management of high-quality service delivery and a cohesive organisational culture committed to continual improvement and quality. The person will also ensure the development and maintenance of business opportunities and a high level of organisational accountability and transparency to community and funding stakeholders that include other Anangu and Aboriginal organisations, service providers and Federal and State Governments.
The successful candidate will ideally be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and will have excellent decision making capability, a capacity to rapidly problem solve, an adaptable approach, perseverance and strong people skills. Vitally important is an understanding of Indigenous culture, the ability to work with Indigenous people and communities, and experience in remote service delivery.
The role will suit a results-driven individual with demonstrated senior executive and strategic leadership abilities that is not afraid to get their hands dirty. Significant travel by road to, from and within the APY Lands can be anticipated.
