The position of General Manager Hospital Services sits within this Directorate and plays a critical role in ensuring this mission.
It provides comprehensive leadership and management for hospitals over the vast Grampians region.
It is a sizable portfolio within a large health service.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager Hospital Services will oversee and manage budgets, lead workforce planning, project management, change management and a range of other initiatives.
Fostering a culture of shared accountability and performance across hospital operations, the position will drive service improvement and development, workforce welfare and responsive support.
A key element of the role will be to maintain strategic stakeholder relationships with internal and external partners to promote service integration, access and reduced duplication.
The successful candidate will possess a track record of delivering positive and significant impact in healthcare management.
While a clinical background will be advantageous, an extensive understanding of the principles of quality, safety and risk management is essential.
