About The Role: This opportunity has emerged due a recent internal move for the previous incumbent that will accelerate their career at Ventia. As a result, the role of GM Growth & Development offers the next incumbent an opportunity to enable the continued growth of a significant B2B services portfolio generating >$1.2bn in revenue from a diverse workforce of ~4,000 people across AU & NZ.
Working with blue chip customers across the Resources & Industrial, Environmental Services, Water, Energy and Renewables markets, you will partner with other members of the Sector Leadership Team to continue to position Ventia as the preferred service provider for existing, and new infrastructure service contracts.
In this role, you will lead and develop an experienced team of 40+ business development and pre-contracts professionals responsible for developing compelling and commercially competitive bids and tenders. In addition, this Executive role will be a key driver for mobilising the refreshed Sector strategy recently endorsed by the Board.
This role will include:
Sector Strategy: supporting strategic planning and execution, building a pipeline of profitable opportunities that will deliver sustained growth. Pre-Contracts & Estimating: accountable for all opportunity assessments and contract development processes and activities, responsible for managing pre-contract governance and reporting, assessing market opportunities, and driving efficiency in the process to be successful in bids & tenders. Business Development: accountable for delivering the strategy to penetrate new markets whilst retaining existing high performing and profitable customer contracts. About You: As a dynamic and incredibly diverse company, we are looking for people who have a successful track record in growing large services businesses, by building productive relationships with customers, internal and external stakeholder groups, as well as promoting a safe environment where everyone can thrive and grow together.
You will be a senior leader, with experience interacting with Board and C-Suite levels, with clear demonstrated success in contract renewals and leading a growth agenda in large-scale industrial and infrastructure services industries.
