General Manager - Education & Care

Lady Gowrie Tasmania is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager for our Education & Care Division.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to make a significant impact within a well-established, not-for-profit, community-based organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality education and care services for children from birth to 12 years of age.

This senior leadership role is a statewide, permanent full-time position located in Hobart, with regular travel across the state.

Reporting directly to Lady Gowrie Tasmania's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and being a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the role of General Manager Education and Care is responsible for leading 40 early learning and outside school hours care services as well as a leadership team driving high-quality pedagogy and compliance.

The successful applicant will be an accomplished leader with a proven track record in driving the direction of services and programs to ensure that children are happy, safe, healthy, and develop a love of learning.
The role will suit a leader with a continuous improvement focus, great communication skills, and the ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment, always with a focus on Children First.

The role requires experience as an Approved Provider or Person with Control and Management, as well as leading and managing large teams.
The successful applicant will possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education and care (or equivalent) and relevant registrations relating to working with children along with a current driver's licence.
