The role Consumer Protection is establishing a new Commissioner Determinations team to implement key aspects of recent legislative reforms designed to enable tenants to make their rental a home and to provide an accessible and streamlined alternative to court for bond disputes.
As the General Manager Determinations, you will lead the implementation of this new function, by developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and procedures to support and enable the team to ensure fair and transparent determination of disputes.
A key aspect of your role will be to provide strategic leadership, whilst coaching and mentoring your team. You will support their growth and development to provide excellence in customer focussed and effective determination activities under Consumer Protection Legislation.
You will be responsible for managing the operations of the team, providing high level advice, participating in strategic and operational planning, proactively building and maintaining strategic relationships, and ensuring appropriate consideration and decisions are made about these applications on behalf of the Commissioner.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months.
