OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic General Manager to drive the growth of our Canberra practice. This senior leadership role requires a candidate who excels in advisory, consulting, business development, customer acquisition, and people management.
In this role, you will be responsible for building the practice in Canberra through the acquisition of new customers, hiring and developing a local team of specialist consulting professionals, managing team utilisation, and delighting our customers every day through high-quality delivery execution.
You will build strong relationships with our customer's senior technical and business stakeholders, work well in ambiguous situations, formulate direction and coach, mentor, and lead customer resources and external delivery partners through the engagement and program life cycle.
An ideal candidate for this senior leadership role will have experience and expertise in:
Leadership & Team Building: Proven track record in building and leading technology consulting and delivery teams. Highly analytical with a knack for distilling value for customers. Enjoys being customer-facing and is willing to roll up their sleeves to deliver.Maintaining Delivery Excellence: Committed to maintaining high standards across all engagements. Capable of leading and building the business while ensuring consistent quality.Consultative Approach: Demonstrated history of using a consultative approach to assist customers. Proven experience and track record in technology consulting firms, with a focus on advisory.Cloud Transformation Expertise: In-depth understanding of enterprise-scale cloud transformation programs gained from working on large-scale public cloud projects.Industry Knowledge & Network: Experience working with Federal Government and meaningful connections across Canberra.At DigiRen, you will join an inclusive and welcoming team of technology leaders who are among the best in the business.
ResponsibilitiesAs a General Manager and leader at DigiRen, you will have core responsibilities to help build the business:
Geography Ownership: Define, implement, and own the strategy for the Canberra practice. Own the customer engagement lifecycle for the practice, from sales through to resource management and successful delivery of customer outcomes.Lead Customer Engagements: Deliver high-quality execution and delight our customers daily. Lead customer resources and external delivery partners through the engagement and program lifecycle.Ensure Delivery Excellence: Build and foster an internal culture of collaboration, maintain a high-quality bar, and provide each team member with a platform to perform exceptional work and exponentially develop their skills and careers.Improve Market Positioning and Partnerships: Establish the DigiRen brand within the geography, driving brand awareness and capturing mindshare with key executive personas and stakeholders. Establish and grow key local partnerships.Strengthen Advisory & Consulting Frameworks: Strengthen and enhance our advisory methodologies and artefacts. Contribute to thought leadership and be a visible leader in the market.Build Our Business: Build the practice across Canberra by acquiring new customers and fostering strong relationships with senior technical and business stakeholders.Manage the Team: Hire, develop, and manage a local team of specialist consulting professionals. Ensure high team utilisation and maintain a high quality of work.RequirementsExtensive career experience as a leader in IT advisory and consulting, cloud computing, IT strategy and delivery, specifically working on large-scale public cloud programs.People management experience in an enterprise technology context performing matrixed leadership in complex environments.Experience delivering real outcomes for technology programs in an external consulting role within the public sector in Canberra.C' level presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group leadership and executive presentations.Based in Canberra, with the ability to travel to other locations within Australia if required.Minimum NV1 AGSVA security clearance, with an NV2 highly regarded.BenefitsDigiRen is an equal opportunity employer.
