And now's the time.Your opportunityWe're seeking a dynamic leader to come on board in the role of General Manager - Asset Management and lead our diverse, motivated, and driven team. This is a permanent full-time role based at Barangaroo, Sydney.This role will be helmed by the Group Executive for Infrastructure, Assets and Development and Chief Risk Officer.As our General Manager - Asset Management, you will lead and deliver the maintenance, capital planning, and optimisation of port assets across all Port Authority of New South Wales (Port Authority).The role is responsible for the development and management of resources, budgets, and capital projects to meet the strategic goals and operational requirements of Port Authority.Here's how your impact will truly count:You will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Infrastructure, Assets and Development team and organisation for the delivery of the asset management program, supporting the Group Executive IA&D to maximise commercial outcomes and optimise marine and land assets and infrastructure across all ports.You will lead and develop the Asset Management team, ensuring alignment with divisional and broader priorities and objectives, building individual and team capability and engagement.You will develop, manage, and report on operational and capital budgets, performing financial and asset analysis to make recommendations for capital requirements for major assets.You will identify and mitigate port asset risks associated with operating within a maritime environment and integrate into the Asset Management Strategy.You will ensure correct maintenance systems, processes, and structures are in place to provide assets that are safe, compliant, and operationally available.You will promote a safe working environment consistent with the Port Authority's Work Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.What you'll bringQualifications in Engineering and/or Asset Management.Extensive experience in either Maintenance Management, Engineering Management, or Asset Management.Advanced relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate with influence and negotiate with all levels.Commercial and political aptitude, critical and analytical thinking, and sound judgment.Extensive experience leading and developing people to deliver results.Experience developing and building asset management and maintenance functions/teams.What matters most is that you're an exceptional and self-motivated leader who can be a role model for an equally self-driven and motivated team.
