We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and manage the growing operations of Ideon Technologies, focusing on the Asia-Pacific region and global expansion. This is a key leadership role in a rapidly evolving company, with the opportunity to shape strategy and contribute to the company's success from the ground up.
Role Overview
The General Manager will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder at Ideon HQ in Canada and will sit on the Executive leadership team serving as the company lead in the APAC region. This position will be pivotal in ensuring alignment between global opportunities and regional growth, providing leadership to cross-functional teams, and managing client relationships. The General Manager will also play an active role in supporting and growing the company's footprint in the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities Identify regional market needs and advocate for the creation of tailored solutions and offerings to address these requirements.Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional regional team, partnering with colleagues based in Canada on workforce planning, customer experience, and employee engagement initiatives.Drive continuous innovation and process improvement, contributing to product and service roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and organisational best practices.Collaborate with regional General Managers to develop scalable and repeatable go-to-market strategies, sales operations, and processes, ensuring regional adaptation as necessary.Role-model Ideon's collaborative, performance-driven culture within the APAC region, while promoting a strong safety culture, implementing proactive risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.Represent the company in key industry associations and trade events, actively contributing to the mining community.About You 10+ years senior leadership experience selling complex technology into industrial markets, with P&L accountability, preferably within the mining industry.5+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership or strategic account management in a consultative technology-based B2B environment.Strong technical background with business education and experience, capable of translating technical information into actionable insights; proven success in complex enterprise sales cycles and closing large-scale deals.Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with a collaborative approach to team development; ability to manage ambiguity, drive clarity, and foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-motivated, results-driven attitude, excellent communication skills (fluent in English), and the ability to travel freely across the region and to Ideon's head office.This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.
