As the General Hand at DisplayWise, you will be a valued member of our friendly and supportive team whilst receiving continuous on-the-job training to progress into the machinist role.
Like all our staff, you will be offered support, guidance and encouragement to develop your long-term career while working on the latest Biesse technology including nesting and edge banding machinery.
Exceptional growth of the business means we are now looking for a General Hand reporting to the Production Foreman.
You will be trained and become integral to the success of the operation of the business.
Standard factory hours are 07:00 am – 15:00 pm with overtime available and the opportunity to be flexible with hours.
Responsibilities and TasksOperating a CNC and Edge Bander simultaneously working with veneers, solid timbers, laminates and composite boardsGeneral Warehouse duties including wrapping & packing, assistance of trades etc.Managing work flow and effectively communicatingMaintaining the machinery maintenance & service schedulesMaintaining excellent presentation of the machinery and respective areasDutiesLoad and unload machinery and routers – Forklift licence would be highly regardedCreate files and cut lists as required – Using various software packages with trainingCheck files for accuracy and efficiencyAbility to prioritise tasks and communicate at every levelAssist with General Warehouse and Production duties as requiredOur team is looking for someone that has:A willingness to be part of a hardworking and dedicated teamA can-do attitude and an ability to listen to instructionA willingness to learn and desire to be the bestA respectful attitude and a great communicatorA commitment to take pride in your work and build a great work ethicA passion for working with your hands in the construction/cabinetry/joinery industryIf you believe this is the opportunity for you, please send through your cover letter & resume to .
