General Counsel and Co-Sec role at ASX listed resources company; Dual listed organisation with global footprint Production and exportation focused business; Rare blended legal and governance focused role at ASX listed company. u&u Recruitment Partners are proud to partner exclusively with an ASX listed resources production and exploration company in their search for a new General Counsel & Company Secretary. Our client owns and operates mine sites and produces high quality materials economically. Due to recent growth, they are seeking an experienced General Counsel & Company Secretary to help establish best practice legal and corporate governance practices with the Executive Leadership Team and Board. Reporting to the CEO, the role will: Provide advice to the company on legal responsibilities, governance and compliance; Liaise with relevant regulators including ASIC and the ASX; Provide legal advice to management and directors on a wide range of corporate and commercial legal issues; Prepare Board documents for main Board and subcommittee meetings. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing foreign investor relationships while facilitating ongoing communication between the business and external providers. The successful candidate will hold a legal qualification and ideally have previous experience working at a similar ASX listed organisation. Tasmanian location preferred, but Melbourne-based candidates will also be considered.
