General Catering Assistant (Zero Hour Contract) Lancing College are a seeking a pool of bank General Catering Assistants.
JobTitle: General Catering Assistant
Reportsto: General Manager, Deputy Manager and Supervisors.
Duties will include: Assisting the management team in the provision of food to the agreed standard within the budgetary limitations. Assisting in the maintenance of high standards in Hygiene and Health & Safety. Ensuring that all foods to be served from the dining room, or designated function areas, are presented in accordance with College standards. Also, ensuring all menus/signage are updated and correct. In the absence of supervisors, monitoring the implementation of cleaning schedules, taking remedial action as required. Ensuring all temperature checks are caried out and recorded to the standard required to company policies. Encouraging good team morale through good practices, leading by example and use of motivational skills. Promoting a professional image and good customer relations. Carrying out any reasonable requests made by the management team. Attending meetings and training. Assisting with internal and external functions when required. Skills and Experience: Strong communication skills and customer service. A team player with a "can do" attitude, who is committed to providing a quality service right down to the small details. Willing, positive, and adaptable. Proactive in seeking service improvements with a flexible approach to meeting customer needs. Qualifications and experience in catering and hospitality would be desirable but not essential.
