General Catering Assistant

(The use of this title does not indicate any limitation on the post holder's duties or job function and the post holder may be assigned to different duties from time to time.) Reports to: Head of Catering, Deputy Manager, Hospitality Manager and Supervisors.
Duties will include: Assisting the management team in the provision of food to the agreed standard within the budgetary limitations.Assisting in the maintenance of high standards in Hygiene and Health & Safety.Ensuring that all foods to be served from the dining room, or designated function areas, are presented in accordance with College standards. Also, ensuring all menus/signage are updated and correct.Ensuring all temperature checks and daily cleaning schedules are carried out and recorded to the standard required to company policies.Promoting a professional image and good customer relations.Carrying out any reasonable requests made by the management team.Attending meetings and training.Assisting with internal and external functions when required.Skills and Experience: Strong communication skills and customer service.A team player with a "can do" attitude, who is committed to providing a quality service right down to the small details.Willing, positive, and adaptable.Proactive in seeking service improvements with a flexible approach to meeting customer needs.Qualifications and experience in catering and hospitality would be desirable but not essential.
