We seek a hands-on General Manager who can immerse themselves in every
aspect of the business and continue the growth that the club has enjoyed
over the last few years.
Reporting to the President of the Management Committee, the role requires consistent and courteous service to members/patrons and working autonomously to manage the day-to-day several corporate and operational
areas.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring quality of service is always at a high standard and delivered by all staff.
• Assisting with the training and development of staff.
• Drive a supportive, responsive, and collaborative culture.
• Providing support when needed to front-line staff.
• Organise, setup and co-ordinate functions and events.
• The ability to supervise, lead and motivate a small team of employees;
• Sound financial and marketing skills;
• Sound asset management experience;
• Experience in venue renovation and refurbishment;
• Strong understanding of internal procedures and controls;
• Proven experience in compliance requirements for hospitality industry;
• The ability to engage and report to the committee and to generate and drive new initiatives;
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Great leadership skills with experience coaching, training, and supporting a team of staff.
• Sound understanding of beverage and gaming operations and compliance.
• Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with financial objectives including stock control and rostering.
• Engender strong communication skills.
Qualifications required:
• Currently hold or can attain an Approved Managers card.
