The Role: As a General Accountant, you will provide services relating to financial reporting, taxation, auditing, insolvency, accounting information systems, budgeting, cost management, planning and decision-making by organisations and individuals; and provide advice on associated compliance and performance requirements to ensure statutory and strategic governance.
Your major duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.Keeping the business accounts up to date following internal policy and external standards.
This includes monitoring and supervising the finance team, including payables and receivables, owner payments, and other financial matters.Ensuring processes and procedures are followed on time and accurately processed.Responding to account-related questions from property owners on time.Monthly bank reconciliations.Assisting in the preparation of quarterly financial reports and BASs.Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies.Ensuring that all payments made to owners are effectively reconciled and deposited on time.Overseeing bookkeeping, and assisting when required (e.g., staff leave).Training new staff members.Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits, and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency, and taxation.Examining operating costs and companies' income and expenditure, maintaining internal control systems.Assuring the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans, and operations.Preparing taxation returns for individuals and organisations.Introducing and maintaining MYOB & XERO accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.Liaising with banks or financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements.Skilled and Experience Requirements: Have more than 4 years of work experience in the position of General Accountant.Master's degree in professional accounting or equivalent.CPA or CA member.Familiar with the Real Estate Agency Industry.Proficient in MYOB & XERO.Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office suites.Bilingual language skills are preferred, especially in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.Excellent analytical skills, a quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership skills.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
