General Accountant

SAMAF GROUP PTY LTD is looking for a General Accountant for SAMAF Consultants. A great career opportunity exists for a highly motivated and confident Accountant looking to continue to grow into a leadership role. Role Responsibilities Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for a host of clients of varying industries and structures; Preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports as and when required; Preparation of activity statements; Assisting with and providing taxation planning, business advice, and all compliance requirements; Meeting internal and external deadlines; Keeping up to date with technical and technological developments. Minimum Requirements Successful applicants must have: A relevant Accounting qualification and accounting experience in a similar role; Advanced Microsoft Office and typing skills; Strong organisational and attention to detail; Minimum 3 years of work experience within a professional public practice; Proven experience delivering advisory services; Excellent analytical, problem solving and time-management skills; Experience with Xero, MYOB, and other cloud-based applications; Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal; A willingness to learn and develop with a 'can-do' attitude.
