As one of Australia's largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all.About the role: Reporting to the Operations Shift Leader, this role will see you carry out operating and operations-related maintenance activities as part of a multi-disciplined team onsite at Mt Piper Power Station. This will include operation of plant and equipment as well as routine and defect maintenance, performed as part of a shift that works 24/7. You will be a key player in ensuring a strong HSE culture by ensuring that all statutory regulations are adhered to and that all O&M activities employ safe work practices consistent with Energy Australia policies and procedures.About you: Successful internal applicants will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:A personal commitment to occupational health and safety.Highly developed troubleshooting and analytical skills.Well-developed communication and teamwork skills.Experience working a shift work roster (ideally).Whilst specific Power Station Operator training will be provided, the following qualifications and experience would be looked upon favorably:Experience in the control, operation and maintenance of turbo/generator units and associated plants or other large industrial processes.HRWL: Boiler Advanced and Turbine Operation (BA, TO).Industry-related tertiary qualifications to diploma level.Applicants need to be willing to undergo testing to ensure they are physically capable of performing the duties of the GO1 Operator.Please note: Applicants must be available to work 12-hour shifts, including night and weekend shifts, as per the roster.Applications close on Friday 15th November at 11.55pm.Salary: Attractive package will be offered to the right candidate.
