About the Role As the GEL Swim Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the management and success of our Swim School.
Working closely with the Swim School Team Leader, you'll help oversee a diverse team including Swim Shift Supervisors, Customer Experience Officers, and Swim Instructors.
Your responsibilities will encompass staff development, program administration, and quality assurance.
You'll ensure high service standards are maintained, conduct class assessments, and serve as a key liaison between staff, members, and parents.
The role involves hands-on leadership, providing on-shift guidance to the Aquatics Team and maintaining a safe, friendly, and progressive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, aquatic experience, and the ability to maintain safety standards in a dynamic environment.
You will report to the GEL Swim School Team Leader and perform a range of duties including but not limited to: Team Leadership: Assisting to train, supervise, and provide leadership to the GEL Swim School team as per centre policies and industry guidelines.
Service Standards: Collaborate with the GEL Swim School Team Leader to maintain Service Improvement Standards in daily operations.
Customer Service: Act as a liaison on pool deck, providing customer service to Swim School members and parents.
Roster Requirements As part of this role, you will also be required to perform direct service as a GEL Swim Shift Supervisor, GEL Swim Customer Service Officer, or GEL Swim Instructor.
You will be rostered 15.2 hours per week of admin-related tasks (as listed above) and a minimum of 7.6 hours up to 22.8 hours per week of direct service.

Qualifications and Experience Demonstrated experience and achievement in the leisure industry and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
Comprehensive customer service experience.
Provide First Aid with current CPR qualification.
Employee Working with Children Check.
Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate.
Teacher of Swimming extension courses (Desirable).
Pre-employment Checks Progressed candidates must undergo pre-employment screening as a standard procedure which will include: Employee Working with Children Check.
New National Police Record Check.
Health Declaration.
Pre-employment medical.
Evidence of right to work in Australia.
