Gate Controller – Permanent – Full Time

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (1 weekend in 6) Euro Auctions conducts unreserved auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery on a global basis with sites in the UK, Europe, UAE, Australia, and US.
We are the market leader in Europe, holding more sales and selling more lots per sale than any other auction house.

Gate Controllers are responsible for ensuring all visitors and deliveries to the site are authorised and for directing the movement of stock on and around the site.
The auction stock can range from a diggers and dump trucks to cars and crushers.
Key Activities:

This is an active, outdoor job and requires someone with the ability to operate all types of heavy equipment.

Directing staff, visitors, and deliveries to the yard.

Ensuring unauthorised people/vehicles do not enter the yard.

Recording customer details for all deliveries to the yard.

The Person:

If you have knowledge of heavy plant, mining, quarry equipment, then we especially want to hear from you.

30 Days Annual Leave + additional days for long service.

The Requirements

Valid Driving Licence.

Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Good data entry skills with attention to detail and ability to spell.

Computer literate and experience using stock management systems.

Knowledge of and ability to operate construction equipment.

This is a customer-facing role requiring good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

This is a physically demanding, all-weathers role therefore applicants should be able to lift weights up to 25Kilos.
