The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology, who will work as part of the Department of Acute Medicine across the North West region.

The successful candidate will provide specialist diagnosis, treatment and care for public patients.
They will provide a consultative service in Gastroenterology to other disciplines and to both hospitals within the Department of Health – North West.

The Location:
The rugged and beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania is a tourist mecca, has a strong agricultural sector, a developing innovative industrial sector and is positioned with airports and sea transport so it is very accessible to the rest of Tasmania and the Australian mainland.
Air travel from Devonport to Melbourne is less than one hour.

The Facility:
As part of the state wide health service, you will be located in this modern 160 bed facility providing high quality health care to the local region.
The hospital also offers services in medical, surgical and allied health specialties through inpatient and outpatient departments.
The hospital has a strong relationship with the University of Tasmania's Rural Clinical School, and the secondary care facilities are both associated teaching hospitals with contemporary teaching environments.

The Requirements:
To apply you must hold AHPRA registration and the FRACP in Gastroenterology.
Must hold a current driving license.
