About the role The purpose of the position is to maintain the safety, service & quality of the natural gas network in the ACT/Nowra region.
Key Responsibilities include Complete all programmed and corrective maintenance of Zinfra's client gas facilities and networks Ensure no gas outages due to maintenance and repair techniques and reduce "call backs" or rework on work performed Working in accordance with the code of conduct and safety policies and procedures and report all system and component failures ensuring you are following respective procedures Carry out risk assessments on all work Assist with resourcing during emergency or critical times Provide constructive input regarding issues affecting the team About You The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of gas networks and experience working with a variety of tools and equipment.
Experience working within the utilities sector Proactive approach towards safety and excellent safe working practices Flexibility to work reasonable overtime, as required to meet the needs of the business and being on a monthly after-hours callout roster Gas Fitting/Plumbing trade or equivalent (highly desirable) Current Australian drivers licence, White/Blue card, Asbestos awareness We are a champion of equal opportunity employment and have committed to targets for gender equity and first nations representation in our workforce.
