Chandler Macleod is seeking expressions of interest for a number of exciting opportunities available for Gas Meter Readers to join the amazing team in Warrnambool.
No previous experience required – training will be provided.
Previous experience being on your feet in physical roles will be very beneficial.
The purpose of this role is to: The Purpose of the Gas Meter Readers is to read electric, gas or water meters, record usage, inspect meters and connections for defects and damage, and report irregularities.
What we are Looking for Can work independently Enjoys working outdoors (rain, hail, or shine) ASAP start Loves fitness and has a good physical ability to walk long hours (30km a day) Able to meet strict deadlines Highly focused on safety with a high level of attention to detail On time and reliable Valid drivers licence and access to car Highly committed and motivated Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Safely Navigate properties to gas meter location, avoiding hazards onsite & update hazard information for future meter readers Report all encounters of gas meter leaks, damaged, vandalized, and unsafe meter installations, tampering with meters & address error Entry properties to read installed gas metes & leaving the property in the state it was found Ensure all dealings with the public are professional & polite Ensure a high standard of personal presentation at all times & ensure to wear the supplied PPE Accurately read meters for gas distributor AusNet services on behalf of gas retailers & fulfill contracted duties daily Occasionally complete car-based routes that require driving onto properties to obtain reads, including along busy roads & Highways Work typically starts in the field between 7am – 8am & 6:30am on the days where it is going to be over 35 degrees & must download completed work by 4:30pm each day once route has been completed What we Offer: Equipment provided Training Flexible ongoing full-time opportunities (available for full time hours is preferred for scheduling) $31.23 Per Hour + super 5/8 hours a day Clear Drug & Alcohol test and Police Check required before placement.
