No previous experience required – training will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for University Students or individuals who love to keep fit and enjoy the outdoors.Purpose of Gas Meter Readers:The purpose of this role is to read electric, gas, or water meters, record usage, inspect meters and connections for defects and damage, and report irregularities.What We are Looking for:Can work independentlyEnjoys working outdoors (rain, hail, or shine)ASAP startLoves fitness and has good physical ability to walk long hours (30km a day)Able to meet strict deadlinesHighly focused on safety with a high level of attention to detailOn time and reliableValid driver's license and access to a carHighly committed and motivatedResponsibilities and Key Deliverables:Safely navigate properties to gas meter locations, avoiding hazards onsite & update hazard information for future meter readersReport encounters of gas meter leaks, damage, vandalism, and unsafe meter installations, tampering with meters & address errorsEnter properties to read installed gas meters & leave the property in the state it was foundEnsure all dealings with the public are professional & politeEnsure a high standard of personal presentation at all times & wear the supplied PPEAccurately read meters for gas distributor AusNet services on behalf of gas retailers & fulfill contracted duties dailyOccasionally complete car-based routes that require driving onto properties to obtain reads, including along busy roads & HighwaysWork typically starts in the field between 7am – 8am & 6:30am on days where it is going to be over 35 degrees & must download completed work by 4:30pm each day once the route has been completedWhat We Offer:Equipment providedTrainingFlexible ongoing full-time opportunities$30.32 Per Hour + super5/8 hours a dayDrug & Alcohol test, Police Check, and White Card required.For more information, please contact Kay Prado at Chandler Macleod.
