With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the client plays a key role in meeting the evolving energy needs of Australian communities while advancing towards a more efficient and green energy future.Job DescriptionThis role is centered on delivering both strategic and tactical asset management within the gas network. The Gas Assets Engineer will contribute to the development and implementation of asset management strategies, aiming to optimize performance and meet regulatory obligations. This role also involves stakeholder engagement, risk management, and continuous improvement of asset management frameworks and policies.Key Responsibilities:Support asset management strategies using risk management and lifecycle cost methodologies.Identify and address gaps between actual and target asset performance.Develop annual and five-year CAPEX and OPEX budgets.Create and present Business Cases and Scopes of Work.Improve asset management frameworks, policies, and strategies, and maintain ISO55001 accreditation.Engage with stakeholders and understand regulatory models.Support risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.Meeting Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (RIFR) targets.Delivery and maintenance of asset management strategies and systems in line with ISO55001 requirements.The Successful ApplicantEducational Background: Degree qualified in engineering.Experience: 3+ years in engineering or asset management, with experience in utility, energy, or asset management sectors being desirable.Skills:Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SAP, PowerBI, SQL, and other analytical systems.Commercial acumen and ability to deliver outcomes with a focus on strategic objectives.Ability to think creatively and challenge the status quo.Proactive initiative-taking and autonomous planning capabilities.High degree of focus on safety.Understanding of ISO55001 requirements.What's on OfferInvolvement in strategic and tactical asset management, playing a key role in maintaining and improving the gas network.
