Your key responsibilities will include: Mow Lawns, cut edges with hand and ride-on mowers (front deck & Ztrack) and whipper snipper.
Remove litter from garden beds and driveways.
Trim shrubs and plants and remove dead branches and leaves.
Check function of irrigation system and report faults or insufficient/excessive watering.
Apply fertiliser as per instructions.
Use of spraying equipment like backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer, and motorised spraying equipment, to control weeds, pests, and insects.
Tasks to be carried out in a manner that causes the least inconvenience to customers, staff, and the general public.
Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and the SNT operating procedures Performs routine maintenance on, gardening tools and equipment.
Assists in the provision of on-the-job training.
Understand and comply with quality, safety, health, and environmental policies.
Follow written instructions, verbal direction, and procedures to perform work.
Challenge any instructions that you believe places anyone or the environment at risk.
Take personal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people or the environment.
SELECTION CRITERIA: ESSENTIALS: Certificate III in Horticulture or Not less than three years' experience in practical horticulture and possesses the skills, knowledge and experience to perform work within the scope of this level.
Proven ability to carry out the tasks outlined in the key responsibilites.
Class C Driver's Licence (manual).
Work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment.
Exercise good interpersonal and communications skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
A positive National Police Security Check Report.
DESIRABLE: First Aid Certificate.
Chainsaw Operator Certificate.
