Our client is a division of Programmed who specialize in the gardening and horticulture space. Due to business expansion and new projects we now have multiple opportunities to join the team in the Western suburbs. These are permanent, full-time opportunities working Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm, with some overtime available at certain times. We are currently recruiting for multiple divisions of the team -

Gardening and Maintenance - Established Commercial and Private Properties.
Landscape Construction - Establishing and maintaining Landscape construction projects
On site maintenance positions - Several locations available including schools, universities and Estates

You will join the team of Gardeners, Landscapers and Horticulturist who are responsible for the establishment and maintenance for a large number of client sites in and around the Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne and the greater Melbourne area. Some of the tasks involved are;

Meet the schedule of works that need to be done over a daily weekly, monthly and in some cases seasonally to maintain the grounds.
Engage, lead, and motivate the team using your people management skills to meet and improve the skills of the team members.
Involve the team by encouragement and motivating to deliver safety excellence and promote risk awareness
Operate the machinery and mobile plant that is supplied and ensure that the machinery is secure and operated safely whilst on site.
Establish and create new landscaping projects within the Greater Melbourne area.

What We're Looking For:

Cert III in Horticulture or similar qualification
Grounds Maintenance and Gardening experience
Team leading or leadership experience desirable
Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives, to improve safety, efficiencies and reliability
People who love working outdoors and working with plants
