About the role As the Class 2 Ganger, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Network Development, Asset & Maintenance Group.  Reporting to the Track Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of 4 in the maintenance, repair, and renewal of the 65km per hour track between Murtoa – Hopeton. Key Accountabilities include: Provide timely responses to emergencies associated with the replacement and renewal of track materials, i.e. sleepers, rail, ballasts, and fastenings. Lead and supervise teams while participate in repair and maintenance work. The right candidate will confidently prioritise reactive, emergency, and planned maintenance with a strong sense of teamwork and a positive mindset.   Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Hold a certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure (Gangers Ticket) Have excellent communication skills and basic computer capabilities. The ability to lead and support a team.
