About the role As the Class 2 Ganger, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Network Development, Asset & Maintenance Group. Reporting to the Track Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of 4 in the maintenance, repair, and renewal of the 65km per hour track between Murtoa – Hopeton. Key Accountabilities include: Provide timely responses to emergencies associated with the replacement and renewal of track materials, i.e. sleepers, rail, ballasts, and fastenings. Lead and supervise teams while participate in repair and maintenance work. Always demonstrating a high level of safety and teamwork. Be available for on call emergencies and travel throughout the region on afternoon and night shift as required. Why V/Line? Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Hold a certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure (Gangers Ticket) Have excellent communication skills and basic computer capabilities. The ability to lead and support a team.
