As a Producer within Riot, you will report to the Lead Producer, and work with internal and external developers to lead production efforts in bringing our products to market. You will build relationships with developers across teams at Riot. You will ensure that the team is set up for success at every stage of project development from: prototype and pre-production to launch and beyond as a key member of the development team.
Responsibilities:Drive the organization and delivery of team's feature workRun day-to-day team production operationsCreate and maintain a clean, up-to-date work backlogFacilitate team meetings, discussions, and decisionsSupport team by removing roadblocks and managing distractionsDirect all team ritualsTeam has predictable and measurable capacity for work throughCross-functional work planning with accurate estimationsVelocity tracking on sprint and release basisSprint/milestone commitment trackingDependency/risk trackingQuality trackingTrack and communicate progress to stakeholders and rest of teamTrack ALL work (planned, unplanned, emergent)Direct all progress communicationEstablish, develop, and maintain stakeholder relationships, keeping them informed of progress and looped in to key decision makingEnd-to-end feature delivery trackingDefine and ensure work meets definition of doneUpdate and track against common delivery checklist for shippingEnsure team's work matches overall project priorities and goalsStrategic work alignment & prioritizationAct as liaison between your team, partner teams and stakeholdersAlign team, and be able to articulate how outputs ladder up to strategy and product vision as prioritized by project leadershipCreate and maintain the team product roadmapCreate and prioritize team backlog with the Area Leads.Able to communicate and get stakeholder buy-in on the "why" behind the team's workPlayer resonanceProvide critical product feedback and insights to the team and leadershipBe the advocate for team's game and business decisionsChampion a player-focused mindset and be the voice of the playerActively review and engage with players via popular channels (forums, events, etc). Deeply understand the pulse of our players.Responsible for communicating team staffing needsKnowledgeable of team workflows to inform staffing needs, estimates, and risksResponsible for understanding total required scope for team's effortsWork with Area Leads to meet staffing needsEnsures strong team health, culture, and efficiencyTeam work systems are efficient and adopted by everyone on the teamMonitors team morale, ensures the team has a safe and supportive environment where they can succeedCelebrates successes, makes sure team-building happens regularlyResolves team problems quicklyRequired Qualifications:4+ years of experience as a Producer or Project ManagerAmple experience working with cross-functional and distributed teamsStrong stakeholder management skillsExperience leading teams through all feature development phases (planning, execution, delivery, post-release support)Experience applying Agile and Lean development processes such as Scrum or KanbanDesired Qualifications:Preferably you have video game industry experience, ideally working on competitive AAA games. A background in digital project management/Agile project management/Scrum Master in a technology setting will also be consideredExperience working with teams building engine capabilities or gameplay featuresMastery of production tools like Jira to track development and create accurate reportingKey Attributes:
