Our Game Development team plays a pivotal role in fostering participation and creating opportunities for growth within our community. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Game Development Officer, with a specific focus on female participation.Position Overview:Baseball Queensland is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Game Development Officer to lead initiatives aimed at expanding female participation in baseball across the state. This exciting role will focus on growing and sustaining women's and girls' involvement in baseball, from grassroots to competition levels. You'll work closely with schools, sporting organisations, and local clubs to create a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment for female athletes of all ages.Key Responsibilities:Develop and Implement Childcare Centre Programs: Introduce baseball to children in childcare centres, providing their first experience with the sport in a safe and engaging space, while linking them to local club competitions or junior T-Ball pathways.Organise Girls' Pre-season T-Ball Carnivals: Deliver regionally based participation events that allow young female players to experience baseball and create additional playing opportunities and pathways.After School Sports Programs: Create and facilitate baseball programs aimed at female youth, giving participants the opportunity to experience baseball in a social or school setting.Female-specific Skills Clinics: Develop and deliver clinics focused on playing and officiating skills to support the growth of youth and adult women in baseball.Coordinate Come and Try Events: Host region-specific events to engage female players of all ages, giving them the opportunity to connect with local clubs and explore baseball.Support Women's League Competitions: Assist in supporting women's leagues in high-demand regions and create programs that celebrate women's and girls' involvement in baseball at the club level.Female Pathways: Help support and develop female pathways and playing opportunities, from grassroots participation to competition, ensuring a clear progression for players of all ages and skill levels while fostering an inclusive and encouraging environment.Inclusivity: Support and develop Baseball Queensland's diversity and inclusivity programs, providing opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities to participate, while ensuring everyone feels welcome, included, and valued within the baseball community.Ideal Candidate:Passionate about growing female participation in sports, particularly baseballExperience in sport development, event planning, or community engagementStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of baseball is desirable but not essentialHold a current driver's licence with access to own vehicleWorking with Children "Blue Card"Employment subject to a Police history checkLocation: While our Baseball Queensland office is based in Brisbane, we are accepting applicants from across the state for this role.Why Join Us?Be part of a dynamic and inclusive team shaping the future of women's and girls' baseball in QueenslandOpportunity to travel across the state and make a tangible impact on grassroots sportSupportive work environment with professional development opportunitiesHow to Apply:To apply for this role, please send your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the position via the Seek.com platform by the 15th of November 2024.Join us in growing the game of baseball for women and girls across Queensland!Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Do you have a current Working With Children (WWC) Check?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?Do you own or have regular access to a car?
