Together, we put on the game, deliver important events, communicate with our fans, run community programs, develop coaches and umpires, and collaborate with partners, delight members, support clubs and so much more.
About The Role
The Casual Game Development Officer is primarily responsible for the delivery of AFL participation programs. Using a targeting approach, this role supports participation within NAB AFL Auskick, Superkick, and school programs, and the transition of participants into community club environments, while promoting inclusive, respectful, and safe environments.
This role is primarily based in the field in schools and local Auskick centres and clubs.
Please note, successful candidates will need to be available during school hours.
Day in the life – what you will be responsible for
Delivering AFL participation programs – including: Auskick, Superkick, NINES, and school programs.
Supporting regional action plans, ensuring targeted delivery of programs for maximum participation impact.
Recording basic data and observations provided to local manager.
Conducting AFL Auskick/Superkick and junior/senior club football promotions from time to time.
Assisting with the implementation of all abilities, inclusion, multicultural, and indigenous programs, and events.
Assisting with AFL match day requirements at AFL Games.
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER WILL HAVE
Experience working with children and young people. Please note, the successful candidate is required to hold a Valid Working with Children Check and will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history record check.
Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised.
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Qualifications in Sports Coaching / Management, Recreation, Education, or equivalent depth of experience.
A love for the game of AFL.
Tasmanian Driver's License.
