This affiliation allows us to leverage the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the sports and entertainment industries, providing our team members with unique opportunities for professional development and career advancement.About the Role:The Game Day & Events Manager is responsible for the management and execution of SEN Teams' game day and events calendar, including the Melbourne Mavericks, Bendigo Spirit, and Perth Lynx.
This role involves developing strategies and plans for all SEN Teams' game days and overseeing game day producers for the Bendigo Spirit and Perth Lynx.Key Responsibilities:Game Day Presentation & Fan EngagementDevelop and implement comprehensive game day plans.Coordinate sponsor activations to ensure maximum exposure and value.Plan and manage entertainment activities, including halftime shows and special guest appearances.Liaise with audio-visual partners to meet technical requirements.Develop detailed run sheets for each game.Coordinate with sport operations staff to ensure seamless game day activities.Oversee logistical aspects of game day presentations.Design and implement fan engagement activities and promotions.Develop and implement contingency plans for emergencies.Coordinate and train match day volunteers and staff.Manage promotional assets and giveaways.Oversee Tradeable Bits campaigns and analyse fan data.Event Planning and ExecutionPlan and execute season launches, awards nights, family days, and community events.Oversee planning for team media days.Develop and manage event budgets.Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events.Administrative SupportAssist in developing internal event proposals.Draft and review contracts with vendors and suppliers.Manage invoicing and follow up on payments.Maintain accurate records of event activities and client interactions.Skills and QualificationsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Basic understanding of invoicing and financial record-keeping.Experience in proposal building and contract management.Proactive in enhancing client relationships.4+ years of experience in event planning, preferably in the sports industry.Proven track record in managing large-scale events and game day presentations.Key Working Relationships:Internal: Sales & Partnerships, Teams - Consumer, Teams - Marketing, Ballpark, Basketball Operations.Capability ProfileCustomer Focus: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.Event Management Acumen: Deep understanding of event planning and execution principles.Drives Results: Achieving objectives and striving for excellence.Collaborates: Working effectively with others to achieve shared goals.Additional Benefits:16 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers.24-hour free access to the gym facilities in the Melbourne office.Access to our SEN Rewards platform for discounts and $$ off selected brands.Be part of a passionate team of professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sports media and broadcasting.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A dynamic, creative, and inclusive work environment.Apply today to be considered for this exciting opportunity!Sports Entertainment Network is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals and encourages applications from a diverse range of candidates, including people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
