About the role We are seeking a Lead Cost Controller to join our Perth based Projects team. We will also consider a Senior Cost Controller who is ready to take the next step. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for developing project budgets, analysing cost variances, and implementing cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
Brief duties Develop comprehensive project budgets for mining engineering projects, including capital expenditures, operating costs, and contingency allowances. Monitor project expenditures and track costs against budgeted amounts, identifying variances and potential cost overruns and recommend corrective action when necessary. Analyse cost data and trends to identify areas for cost-saving opportunities and efficiency enhancements. Collaborate with project managers and project teams to forecast project costs and mitigate financial risks. Review and evaluate contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project budgets. Prepare regular cost reports and updates for project stakeholders, including management and clients. Coordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting for project costs. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to cost management.
