About the Role Our Construction Supervisors are the backbone of our building operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient progress of each project. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in construction supervision to oversee the entire building process, from planning to completion. You'll be allocated a manageable level of builds across the Coffs Coast region, travelling onsite as the G.J. ambassador.
You'll work closely with our team, subcontractors, and customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with various stakeholders, and maintaining clear communication throughout the building process.
Key Accountabilities: Coordinate and manage the construction of new family homes to the highest of standards within the required budget and timeframes. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure all sites are safe and tidy and workers are working in a safe manner. Maintain and update the job schedules, confirming dates with each subcontractor/supplier and ensuring they have the necessary information to complete their tasks. Develop positive but firm relationships with all subcontractors and suppliers and address any issues as soon as they become apparent. Review and approve invoices as work is completed on site. About You Experienced Construction Professional or Motivated Carpenter/Builder/Tradesperson: We welcome applications from both experienced Construction Supervisors and skilled tradespeople with a desire to transition into a supervisory role. Trade Qualification: A trade qualification, ideally in Carpentry. Strong Project Management Skills: You can oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Excellent Communicator: You have strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Problem Solver & Decision Maker: You can quickly identify potential issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions. Relationship Builder: You have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers. Organised & Detail-Oriented: You can manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritise effectively, and ensure efficient workflow. Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in construction scheduling tools and comfortable using smartphones and tablets. Safety-Conscious: You have a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for everyone on site. Driver's Licence: A current driver's licence is essential. Estimating Experience: Any previous estimating experience will be highly advantageous.
