Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs, part of the QinetiQ Group, provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts.
Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.
We are looking for pilots with experience of tactical military flying for upcoming opportunities within our Learjet operations supporting the Australian Defence Force.
Having experience of fast jet operations within a military environment is essential to this role, as you will bring with you significant knowledge of tactical military flying.
This role will see you develop your flying skills in a multi-crew environment, where you will provide training support to the Australian Defence Force.
This support takes the form of target towing and tactical flight missions, supporting the Joint Adversarial Training and Testing Services (JATTS) program.
What you will bring:
A Current CPL At least 500 hrs PIC experience Experience of Tactical and Low Level flying within a military environment A current, re-activatable or eligibility for, a Defence Security Clearance to NV1 A current class 1 medical What you will receive:
Training to become type rated on the Learjet aircraft (training is provided in the USA) An opportunity to fly in a very unique environment A great team environment supporting the Australian Defence Force The best fixed wing flying role outside the military Some things you will need to consider prior to starting the role:
You will be required to gain a current Multi Crew Cooperation certificate You will need to provide a current IPC You will require an ASIC You will be on regular deployment as part of the role with the home base at Nowra.
These positions are based out of our site at Nowra and you will be required to live in the area.
You will have experience of current or recent fighter aircraft such as the F-18, F-18 Super Hornet, F-35, F111, Typhoon, F-16, Hawk or similar.
