Coaching & Instruction (Sport & Recreation) As an Active Beginnings Coach, you are responsible for motivating and coaching groups of children in our science backed, coach inspired activities. You navigate the class through gross motor activities while simultaneously motivating and pushing our members to be the best they can be. Key Duties & Responsibilities working in a Team as a Coach Organise group exercise sessions Demonstrate how to carry out various exercises and routines Observe clients do exercises and show or tell them correct techniques Give alternative exercises during classes for different levels of fitness and skill Monitor clients' progress and adapt programs as needed Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations Set up the training area/studio before and pack up equipment after the session is finished Help foster a positive community-based team training environment Administer first aid when and if required Core Competencies Passion for working with children Presentation and public speaking skills Passion for health and fitness Time management Integrity Interpersonal skills Demonstrate responsibility for personal safety and safety of others in the workspace Conducts work with professionalism Working Conditions Travelling to various locations with a car to run and teach classes as the nature of work is remote and not held in one singular location Know how to handle and work with children Experience or training in the following is recognised: Exercise science Certificate III in Fitness Early Childhood or Primary Teaching Coaching Current CPR and First Aid Certificate Other relevant training Availability required Candidates looking for 3-4 days per week (between 15-30 hours work) TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY preferred But, if this role does interest you and you might not have this amount of availability please apply and we may provide something more casual or more permanent Apply here Any questions please do not hesitate to reach out via social media Instagram , Facebook and website www.activebeginnings.com.au which also illustrates what the Active Beginnings community is all about.
