Applicants should possess a mature, caring and understanding nature, together with well-developed interpersonal skills. A high standard of presentation and communication is essential.
Your responsibilities will includebut not limited to:
Discussing and planning funeral details with bereaved families.
Managing the complete administrative component of the funeral service including but not limited to thelodging of notices, ordering flowers/catering, coordinating clergy, the presentation of orders of service/slideshows/memorial books, death registrations.
Conducting funerals and viewings with families and providing comfort and service.
Some on call and weekend work required.
Monumental enquiries.
Cleaning as required.
Transfer of deceased person as required.
No previous industry experience is required; however, it will be essential that you are a warm, compassionate, well presented person who has an empathetic approach, be physically fit, proven skills in coordination and people/relationship management, be at ease working within a funeral, cemetery and crematorium environment,previous experience in microsoft office anda current full unrestricted manual drivers licence.
You will be required toprioritise and work effectively under pressure, have excellent attention to detail and impeccable customer service skills. To hold or be willing to obtain Tasmanian RSA and food handlingcertificates.
