Funeral assistant work is carried out during work hours as well as transferring of deceased into our care.The role includes:Using AV and Live Stream equipment and being tech savvyChauffeuring families to and from funerals if requiredEnsure funeral vehicles are clean and packed with all necessary equipmentEnsure funeral directors instructions are followed to enable smooth running of the funeralWarmly greeting and welcoming all family members and funeral mourners at a funeral serviceTrimming coffinsSetting up gravesTransferring deceased into our care from nursing homes, hospitals etcOpportunities for growth:Learning and understanding all aspects of back of house processesSupporting the morticianSupporting the crematorium operatorYou must be tech savvy, be able to learn to use live stream equipment and willing to complete all tasks i.e. washing our funeral fleet, trimming coffins, transferring deceased, assisting on funerals and in the mortuary, answering phones, completing paperwork and entering all details into a CRM.Benefits and perksParkview Funeral Home is located in a beautiful climate of Northern Rivers, NSW.
