Join the RFDS as the Fundraising and Donor Relations Lead! This senior role in the Community Relations Team is your chance to be an active ambassador for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in WA. You'll spearhead exciting fundraising campaigns like Flying Doctor Day and national peer-to-peer initiatives, whilst also driving the regular giving program. Your work will shape the donor journey, ensuring an impactful experience and maintaining our status as the 'charity of choice.' Play a crucial role in supporting RFDS's mission to provide top-notch care to the farthest corners of WA, enhancing our reputation and attracting diverse support. About you Over 5 years of successful fundraising experience. Experience planning, executing, and evaluating comprehensive fundraising and regular giving programs. Deep understanding of contemporary fundraising and community engagement. Strong written content skills. Demonstrated experience building strategic, productive relationships. Degree qualification in a relevant discipline and significant experience relevant to this position. About the role Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to achieve fundraising targets, enhance community awareness, and build lasting relationships. Create engaging written content. Represent and evaluate RFDS in national and state peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives. Develop and manage a regular giving (monthly donor) program. Implement strategic donor engagement appeals. Plan and execute donor engagement and stewardship strategies. Ensure fundraising governance and systems meet legal, ethical, and community standards. Play a lead role in developing and executing a growth strategy for fundraising. Benefits Permanent, full-time role or 0.8 FTE for the right candidate. Salary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses. Novated Lease options. About Us The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. RFDS crews are committed to providing the finest care to the furthest corners of the State, using the highest standards of clinical care, aviation safety and technology to make a difference to people living and working across WA – the largest and most remote health jurisdiction in the world. The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers. In 2024, the RFDS is launching a new five-year strategy 'Above and Beyond', which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history.
