A position has become available for a Fundraising Development Officer (.5 FTE) within our Marketing and Engagement Team.
The role will drive the acquisition of financial support for programs and activities that engage with and help veterans families to flourish.
You will be based at Legacy House, West Perth and as required, at other locations such as the Veterans and Families Hub in Rockingham.
You will be working within a small, passionate team within a supportive environment and undertaking vital work for these families in need, but work that is incredibly rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Writes and leads the development of proposals, grants, acquittals and coordinates the submission and agreement processes
Works with all team leaders to identify programs that can be developed into strong cases for support
Works collaboratively across departments to compile the necessary information for applications and acquittals
Manages the grant proposal and reporting calendars, and tracks activities in fundraising database
Researches, identifies and initiates funding prospects
Supports the CEO on the development of corporate partnership proposals
Supports the Digital Engagement and Fundraising Specialist and Marketing Lead on fundraising content and the development of materials
Works closely with the marketing team to ensure recognition requirements of grants are fulfilled on time
Assists in other general fundraising functions when required
Supports alongside the rest of the team in programs and activities when required
Maintains accurate information in the CRM
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum three years of fundraising experience
Proven success with donor/partner/grant prospecting, relations, stewardship and recognition
Superior verbal and written communication skills, and ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite, CRM's and contemporary digital tools
Efficient while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Organised, systematic and able to prioritise, schedule and perform complex tasks on time and with minimal supervision
Ability to liaise with other teams to achieve a common goal
The successful candidate will:
Be eligible to salary sacrifice up to $16,000 per annum
