Your New Role
As an analyst in the funds team, you'll be working across multiple teams that cover new investments, capital structuring, commercial management, and funds management. In addition, you'll engage regularly with senior executives at the c-suite level as required. Within the funds management team you will initially serve as the debt analyst, preparing fund models to support both investment and project teams. You'll prepare investor materials like IM's and Deal Summaries. You'll work closely with the investment team with debt financing scenarios and private equity raising work streams. A core part of your responsibilities will be assisting with financing structuring and acquisitions, including detailed business case development and investment recommendations. You'll prepare financial models for new opportunities including sensitivity analysis. Whilst conducting your work you'll develop and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally (banks, investors, consultants, etc.) including regular timely & accurate reporting as required. You will also review current capital structures and recommend optimisations as appropriate.
Your Profile/Experience
It is expected you have a minimum of 2-3 years or related corporate finance experience, preferably in DCM related roles in advisory or reputable financial institutions, looking to move to the buy side.
Hard skills including building bankable financial models, forecasts, information memoranda, PowerPoint proficiency, performing financial due diligence, and sound financial & commercial acumen. Tertiary qualifications in commerce, engineering, finance, economics, legal or related field with superior academic performance is essential for consideration. Any post graduate work towards CFA, grad diploma applied finance, Masters in Finance, or similar would be well regarded.
