The purpose of the Fund accountant is to assist in the preparation of funds' financial accounts and financial activities for delivery to statutory bodies, in compliance with legal, professional and ethical standards. This will be done by maintaining the integrity of fund accounting records by ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Some of the awesome things you'll be involved with: Reconciliation of bank accountsReconciliation of superannuation fund investment holdingsReviewing and paying fees and premiumsReconciliation of all general ledger accountsPreparing statutory financial reports, including planning and liaising with auditorsManagement of daily unit prices and reconciliation of unit holdings with custodianPreparation of Business Activity StatementsPreparation of APRA reporting both quarterly and annualPreparing trustee reports and compliance reportingEnsuring client service standards are metExamine current processes and recommend improvementsAssist Fund Accounting Manager on all accounting related projects What you will bring: Previous experience in a fund accounting or similar roleFormal superannuation qualifications (or the undertaking to complete RG-146 within 12 months of appointment)Relevant tertiary qualifications - CA/CPA qualifiedPractical experience with superannuation technology systems.
