In the Australasian region, Smit Lamnalco owns or operates 42 vessels, covering the majority of east coast ports, as well as maintaining a significant presence in PNG.

Smit Lamnalco is seeking expressions of interest from qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Masters to join our growing fleet within our Weipa/AMRUN operations on a full time basis.

Job Description As an ASD Tug Master, you are responsible for the safe navigation and operation of the vessel and crew.
You will:
Supervise crew members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Maintain accurate records and maintenance reports.
Adhere to all relevant maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Participate in skills and competency training, including the training of other crew members and trainees.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, exceptional maritime knowledge, and a dedication to safety.

Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity:
The successful applicant(s) must hold a current AMSA Certificate of Competency, AMSA Medical, and MSIC.

The position(s) are FIFO in/out of Cairns or local/resident to Weipa.

Successful applicants will be required to satisfy a company pre-employment medical, client inductions, and drug and alcohol screening.

Where appropriate, training will be provided as part of your job.
