Roma Restaurant and PizzeriaWe are seeking a full-time Chef with the right attitude and passion for working in an Italian kitchen with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience.

Salary of $74,000 - $80,000 + super for this full-time position.
Opportunity for career growth.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesAs the Chef, you will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks:Menu planning (including seasonal menu planning, weekly chef's specials, and catering) and estimating food and labour costs.Order food supplies.Examine the food and supplies to ensure quality.Prepare and cook food as per menu and recipes.Store correctly labelled food in temperature-controlled facilities.Estimate food requirements.Hire, train, and manage all kitchen staff, including employee development, issuing disciplinary action, and conducting performance reviews.Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion.Follow and enforce workplace health & safety regulations, implement and be a leader of hygiene policies, and examine equipment for cleanliness.Qualifications & ExperienceQualificationsAt least 3-4 years of proven experience as an Italian Chef or in a similar role, specialising in Italian or western cuisine.In-depth knowledge of traditional Italian/western recipes and cooking techniques.Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Preferred QualificationsDiploma qualification or equivalent in substantial experience.Essential SkillsGood cooking and presentation skills.Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and assist with all facets of kitchen operation.Able to work in a team, in a busy kitchen operation and lead a kitchen team.Good communication skills and people skills.Maintain good health and hygiene.Ability to train cooks/chefs and junior staff.Great time management and organisation skills.About CompanyWe are an Italian Restaurant in the Albury Wodonga region, serving quality western and traditional Italian cuisine.
